SANFORD, Maine– The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported Saturday an increase in cases connected with a Sanford location funeral and reception on Aug. 31. That number now sits at 10 total cases associated with those gatherings. The funeral occurred outdoors at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale, and the reception took place indoors and outdoors at Sanford American Legion Post 443 on Main Street in Springvale, according to the Maine CDC.
